It still amazes me that so much of the country still is having difficulty getting internet service. I guess since I have always lived in a place were there are many options available that I have become spoiled in many ways and I can really feel for folks that don’t have all of those options. I do remember back when all we had was dial-up internet, it was all we knew so it wasn’t all that bad, but it wasn’t long before we were upgrading to dsl and things just got better and better and faster and faster along the way.

My sister lives in an area which is way out in the country where she does get dsl but many of her neighbors don’t have that option and they still rely on good old dial up while some still have no options at all and have to go without. She is trying to get their local community center to offer free WiFi so that the folks that need and want to use the Internet can at least go there and get online. I just can’t imagine life without the Internet and I don’t think that I could live some where that I couldn’t get an Internet connection, but that’s just me. I’m sure that there are plenty of people that don’t have a thing to do with computers, not sure how they do it though. But I guess you can’t miss something that you have never had in the first place.
