We had a rough day at work – they passed out “pink slips” to 6 people this morning. It was awful. When Darlene told me she was having to leave I almost cried. It’s not fair. I helped her carry a box of stuff to her car and then drive off to a husband already out of work and two little kids. I don’t know how they will get by without her paycheck.

Why did they wait until this morning to fire people? I can’t believe my friends and colleagues spent the weekend thinking everything was great and went shopping or what not and then come in Monday morning to find their job is gone. No more paycheck, no health insurance, no notice. It’s not fair.
