Thanksgiving
I’d like to wish everyone out there a happy Thanksgiving. I’ve always found this to be one of my favorite holidays as I get to spend some time with my family. This year, my mom has come up from Florida to visit and it has worked out well. The kids are happy to see their grandma and she enjoys their company. It’s nice that they get to spend some time together.
Another thing about this holiday is that it gives us a chance to reflect on how lucky we are to all be in reasonably good health and cheer. We take many things for granted these days and its good to remember how lucky we are to be here. I hope that everyone has a chance to enjoy this day as we do. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

One of the problems of these times is the prodigious use of batteries. They seem to be in use far more often than when I was a kid. Just about every device known to man uses one. The two most important ones seem to be in my cell phone and my TV remote. The bad part is that they always seem to be low.
We have a drawer in our kitchen that holds all of our batteries. No matter how many I buy, we never seem to have the right one. They are either the wrong size or are out of date. The other problem is that the kids take them as soon as I get some more. I hope that in the future they will invent the everlasting battery. That would certainly solve many problems of the day!

Whenever you have a computer, it is important to back up your important data. One important aspect of this is to use a portable storage device. At any time, your hard disk can go bad. This will cause you to lose all the data you have accumulated over the years. I always back up my data onto a portable device. This way, I can take the device out of my home and store it somewhere safe.
The prices of these devices have dropped considerably. Nowadays, you can pick up one that has a lot of storage capacity and you won’t break the bank. I certainly recommend that everyone should have this important accessory. They are easy to set up and may save you a lot of hassle in the future!
