My Son!!!
You’re never really ready for when it finally happens. My son was caught skipping school today. It turns out that he had spent the day over at some girl’s house playing video games. The worst part is that I dropped him off at the bus stop myself!
I gave him the what for and put him on restriction. He will have to serve detention at the school as well. I guess that will be punishment enough. I was sort of proud of the boy and remembered that I had done the same when I was young! I was also glad to find that he was with a girl!! Boys grow up!

Since it has been raining all day, I decided that I would get some cleaning done around the house. I started upstairs and am working my way down. I vacuumed all the carpets and dusted the shelves. Of course the washer and dryer have been in use all day as well. I changed the sheets on everyone’s bed and did the bathrooms as well.
When I got downstairs I started with the kitchen. I wiped down the counters and did the floor. All the dishes are done and the microwave received a good scrubbing out. I’m almost done now and am glad it’s over. I think I’ll take a well deserved rest and watch some TV with my feet up!

Every year we seem to have the same old chores to do. After each winter, the house could always use a new coat of paint. The problem is that I really don’t like painting. I do admit that I am too cheap to pay for a painter, so I do it myself. This year, I decided that I would get it done so I don’t have to worry about it anymore!
I forced myself to get started this weekend. I got out all the painting supplies and ladders and tried to get a good start. I got the front of the house done in good time and started on the sides. I was happy that I was able to get so much done so fast! Tomorrow, I will do the back. It will be a great relief to have this unpleasant chore done! Next year, I will introduce the joys of painting to my son…
