Our Mother’s day
Mother earth has her own special day and this is it. Earth day has been a tradition in our country for 40 years and is still going strong. There have been many who spoke out on its importance including the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as well as President Barack Obama. All agree that we must do more to protect our environment so our children will have a better world to live in.
Earth Day has brought awareness to millions of people and has been a catalyst for change. The movement seems to be gathering strength and I am hoping we can all make a difference. The good news is that the day is celebrated by millions all across the globe. I believe we can overcome our differences and do right by the planet that we live on.

It’s that time of year again when everyone is playing tricks on each other. April Fools’ Day has to be one of the best holidays ever invented! I know a few tricks that I use year after year that always work. That’s why I have a reputation around the office. It’s fun for me to make people squirm!
I love to make those phony phone calls that are so familiar. Sometimes I put on the speaker phone so everyone can hear. We always have a good laugh at someone else’s expense. I hope this year goes as good as the last!

Well, the New Year has arrived and I am very excited about it. There are so many things I want to accomplish this year and I have high hopes to do so. The first thing I want to do is to improve the way I have been eating. I am going to cut out the snacks and start eating more fruits and vegetables.
Another one of my goals is to have a good year financially. I think I am inline for a raise and I will work hard to get it! My boss has been impressed with my work and I think it’s high time I get paid for it. I hope that all the people who read my blog will have improvements to make of their own. I wish you all good luck and a Happy New Year!!

Well everybody, it’s been a long year. So many things have happened that it’s hard to take it all in. We’ve had births and birthdays, marriages, and graduations. I am surprised that we come through it all so well. Anyway, I wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy new year. I hope things go well for you as it has done for us this past year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!!
Shopping for food
This year we plan to have a great Christmas. I went shopping today and decided to buy a ham. I bought the spiral kind that is already cut. I was able to find all the other things we needed as well. I want to have a great Christmas dinner and I think it will be one of the best we ever had. There is nothing like a good day of cooking to get that holiday spirit.
My daughter is really interested in learning a few cooking tricks this year. She has been very helpful around the kitchen and I have showed her some of the tricks I have learned over the years. She soon will be able to prepare a great meal all on her own. I am very proud of her and think she’ll pass on the family recipes to her own children one day!
