Happy Birthday Donna
A friend of mine from the “old neighborhood” is celebrating her birthday today. I gave her a call to wish her a happy birthday and as we talked a bit, I was surprised when she told me that she has been working on a blog, too. So I checked out her blog today and decided to bookmark it so I can read it regularly. I might even subscribe to her RSS feed, but I’m not really sure how all that works.
Anyway, if you happen to be reading this, Donna, I hope you had a wonderful birthday today and I am looking forward to reading your blog.

With privacy being a big issue these days, the company Facebook has listened to its customers and made some changes in the choices their customers have for privacy. The new changes will allow users additional options to control who can view their photos and entries. There have been some abuses of this in the recent past and Facebook wants to ensure that people feel safe while using their service. I am glad that they have installed the new options and encourage Facebook users to check them out!

One of the coolest sites I’ve found on the internet is the free Google Earth download. It uses satellite images and you can see almost anywhere on earth. I really enjoy being able to check out distant places with out leaving my house. You can go to Rome for instance and check out how it looks. I really like the street level feature where you can turn the camera around for a 360 degree view.
I found the system very useful as well. I checked out my own neighborhood to gain a perspective of where things are near my house. This gave me the ability to plan out my bike rides and to take advantage of shortcuts I’ve found! I think everyone should check out this awesome site!

I found a great new website to join called Technorati. I really like having the ability to reach more people with my blogs. I hope that everyone will take a look at this site and let me know what you think! I hope you all will join as well! See you there!

One of my favorite websites is Craigslist. In case you don’t know, it is designed to allow people to list things they want, or things they want to sell. They even have a section where you can get stuff for free! I often look on the site and try to determine what I may need. They have everything from firewood to baby clothes.
One of the bad things is that you must be quick. After an ad is posted, you must be one of the first to respond or you will be too late. There has been several times when I wanted something, only to be beaten out by another user. Once in a while I do succeed in getting what I want though so I do not get too discouraged.
I really like this site and hope that everyone who tries it will to. It serves an important need in the community and can be quite fun. I hope you will try it and see what you think. I say good luck to you and enjoy!!
