Every year we seem to have the same old chores to do. After each winter, the house could always use a new coat of paint. The problem is that I really don’t like painting. I do admit that I am too cheap to pay for a painter, so I do it myself. This year, I decided that I would get it done so I don’t have to worry about it anymore!

I forced myself to get started this last weekend. I got out all the painting supplies and ladders and tried to get a good start. I got the front of the house done in good time and started on the sides. I was happy that I was able to get so much done so fast! Tomorrow, I will do the back. It will be a great relief to have this unpleasant chore done! But for now I have to concentrate on this up and coming Easter Sunday.

Next year, I will introduce the joys of painting to my son…
